SMS Messaging Consent & Opt-In Information
LandlordPro offers optional SMS text message reminders to help tenants stay on top of rent payments. This page explains how users opt-in to receive these messages and how they can opt-out at any time.
How Users Opt-In
Tenants must explicitly enable SMS reminders through their account settings. SMS messaging is disabled by default and requires affirmative consent to activate.
Opt-In Interface Example
By enabling SMS reminders, you agree to receive rent reminder text messages from LandlordPro. Message frequency varies based on your reminder settings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
Message Types & Frequency
Users who opt-in will receive:
- Rent Reminders: Notifications before rent is due (frequency set by landlord, typically 1-3 per month)
- Payment Confirmations: Confirmation when payments are received
- Past Due Notices: Reminders if rent becomes overdue

Hi John, this is a reminder that your rent of $1,200 for Apt 2 at 123 Main St is due on the 1st. Pay now: venmo.com/landlord123
Reply STOP to opt out.
How to Opt-Out
Users can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Disabling SMS reminders in their account settings
- Contacting support at support@getlandlordpro.com
